There are two scriptures that have influenced my passion for coming alongside others in their journey towards our Creator, 2 Corinthians 1:4 and Acts 4:13.
"He comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God." (2 Cor. 1:4) HCSB
"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." (Acts 4:13) NIV
Our world is filled with books and philosophies on how to do everything under the sun. I'm not here to offer you a "how to" but a "who to."
I'm among the millions who have experienced the saving power of The Holy Other and continue to learn the steps of love and grace. I was raised by God fearing, prayerful parents and my teen years evoked the usual questions of faith. It was as a 39 year old, married, mother of three, however, that I was awakened to "the truth." While religion had always been a part of my life, relationship with God was about to take on a whole new meaning. One cannot experience the presence and call of Christ and remain unchanged! Transitions often involve the exchange of one thing for another, however, and can have life implications that appear, on the surface, to be unimaginably difficult.
BUT GOD...
As one who has experienced the comfort and counsel of the Holy Spirit, I want to come alongside others who find themselves at a crossroads. Sitting at the feet of Jesus has been my education, as well as, completion of Biblical Counseling courses offered through the Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (aka "IBCD"). I have also completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Colorado Christian University with a minor in Biblical Studies.
As a believer, not a doctor or licensed professional, I have been called to minister to hurting hearts and encourage faithful souls with The Word of God as the foundation.
I don't have all the answers, but I know The One who does. Let's consult HIM together!
